Fabric Pre-treatment

Wool Crepe: Pressed using a wet batiste pressing cloth, effectively steaming the fabric. This took a long time. To be sure that it is pre-shrunk, I also used the London method, wetting a bed sheet and rolling the fabric up. I'll let it sit overnight and then it should be good to go.

China Silk: I pinked the edges and washed it in the washing machine, delicate cycle. I'll also press it before I cut out any pieces.

Hair Canvas: I rolled it up in a wet towl, let sit for 2 hours, then pressed until dry.

Cotton batiste (for stays): machine wash and air dry
